Do I have to register to view my balance through SMS?
Yes. You have to register your details at the EPF
Department of Central Bank of Sri Lanka

How do I get
the registration form?
You can collect a printed form from the EPF
Collection counter of Central Bank of Sri Lanka or the
district labour office.
You can also download a softcopy (pdf file) from the EPF
website www.epf.lk. Follow the link “Forms related to EPF”.

How do I submit the completed registration form?
You can handover the form to the EPF Collection
counter of Central Bank of Sri Lanka or post it to the
address below.

How do I find the web site EPF Account Manager?
Visit the www.epf.lk and a link to the EPF
Account Manager is included as “EPF Member Login”.

How can I logon the
web site?
You should have registered with EPF department to access
this service. You will be provided with a user id (only the
digits of your NIC) and a password upon a successful
registration.

What information can be viewed through the Internet?
Your list of EPF accounts
Your current balance of all the accounts
Your contributions for each account
Your refund status
Your housing loan status.

How do I view
my list of accounts?
Once you logon to the website, you will be
directed to the web page with your account list. You will be
given access only to the accounts that your identity is
assured as the member of a particular account.

How do I
view my contributions details?
Details of member contributions for a particular account can
be viewed by clicking the Detail link in the Account Summary
page. Select the year that you wish to get the list of
contributions.

How do I get
the account statement?
Statement of accounts can be viewed for a given year. Select
a year that you wish to retrieve the Statement of Account
from the EPF Account Details page and click the link View
Statement of Account.

Can I change my
Password?
Yes you can, You must know the current password.
Click on the link “Change Password” and then provide your
current password and new password.
You password should have at least ten characters including
at least six letters and two digits.

What
should I do if my password is forgotten?
You can reset your password. Click on the link
“Reset Password”. Provide your user id (only the digits of
your NIC) and the email address. This email address should
be tally with the email address that has been registered for
you.
Your new password will be emailed to you.

What should I do if my email account is inaccessible?
You can request to change your email. Complete a
Password Reset form and submit to the EPF Department,
Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
You can download the Password Reset request form from the
EPF Account Manager website.

If I have forgotten the command format, how do I retrieve?
First find out the service code by sending the
text HELP or EPF.
Then send the service code to get the syntax.

Yes, You can send the following text to change
the PIN

How can I reset my PIN?
You have to complete a Password Reset form and
submit to the EPF Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
You can download the Password Reset request form from the
EPF Account Manager website.

Can I suspend the service temporarily (in case my mobile
phone lost)?
If you have an Internet account for EPF Online
services, remove your mobile phone number and update your
profile. This change affects immediately.
Alternatively, you can complete a Password Reset form and
submit to the EPF Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
You can download the Password Reset request form from the
EPF Account Manager website.

Can I use any mobile phone to access my EPF Account details
using SMS?
No , Your mobile number has to be registered at
EPF department of Central Bank of Sri Lanka. See the FAQ 3.

How can I register a new mobile phone number to my existing
user account?
If you have an Internet account for EPF Online services,
update your profile with your new mobile phone number. This
change affects immediately.
Alternatively, you can complete a Password Reset form and
