The rate of Contribution to the EPF can be increased by both parties.

An Employee can request the Employer to deduct more than 8% of his salary to be paid to the EPF.

The Employer can increase his contribution (12%) with respect to any Employee.

The minimum and mandatory amount to be paid by the Employee remains at 8% and for the Employer this remains at 12%.

The increase can be notified to Commissioner of Labour using “Form-O”
